Waynetown - Samuel W. Kerr, 70, of Waynetown died at 9 a.m. Saturday
near Newtown. He was visiting a farm he owns there. He was born April 1,
1899, the son of Guy and Belle Beatty Kerr and was married to Mildred
Peters on Shelby in September 1965. He graduated from Newtown HS and
Wabash College in Crawfordsville. After graduation he taught school at
Delphi. For the past 40 years he had been employed at Coburn-Endsley
Commission Firm in Indianapolis and was a co-owner at the time of his
death. He was a m ember of the Newtown Presbyterian Church and Richland
Lodge F&AM. Survivors include the widow, a sister, Mrs. John Wilson of
Hazelton, PA a niece and nephew. He was preceded in death by a brother,
Fletcher, in 1968. Services are pending at the Crumley-Funeral Home in

Newtown, Ind - Samuel Kerr, 70, of Newtown, died at 9 a.m. today July 1
9, 1969) on his farm a mile east of Newtown where he lived all his life.
He was born April 1, 1899, the son of Guy and Belle Beatty Kerr. He
married Mildred Peterson Shelby Sept 4, 1965 who survives. He graduated
fr om Newtown High and Wabash College at Crawfordsville. He taught
school at Delphi and for the past 40 years was employed by the
Co-burn-endsley Commission Firm in the Indianapolis stockyards. At the
time of his death his death, he was co-owner of the firm. He was a
member of the Newtown Presbyterian Church and Richland Masonic Lodge. He
is also survived by a sister, Mrs. John Wilson of Hazelton, PA. He was
preceded in death by his brother, Fletcher. Arrangements are pending at
